| Answer: | For Medicare card holders, Medicare will pay a proportion of the fee. Some or all of the remainder (the “gap”) can be claimed from your private health fund. The portion of any gap not paid by your private health fund (if any) is payable by you. |

| Answer: | Due to the small and independent nature of our laboratory practice, we are unfortunately unable at this time to bill your health fund directly for this account (as some of the large corporate pathology laboratories are able to do). If you have received an account from us, your health fund is one that has not entered into an agreement with Coastal Pathology. |
